Therapy for worry and anxiety
Your muscles are tense, mind wired, and emotions on edge and no matter how many self care strategies you try you can’t seem to find a calm center. You’re not even sure when you started feeling so anxious and alone, but all the effort to seem okay on the outside is wearing on you.
It’s hard to see the good around you, to feel people’s care and interest because your humming nervous energy distracts and disappoints you. Maybe you’re questioning if the person you’re with is really for you, maybe you feel invisible even surrounded by your friends, or you’re new to the area and just don’t have enough support.
You blame yourself: if you just tried harder, did more, were different, somehow, you could feel better. Making decisions about how to change your life: relationships, career, whether to start a family… You can’t stop chewing it over, and the stress of it is making you exhausted, worried, and less and less clear about how to get unstuck. It feels like nothing will ever change.
A different sort of Therapy
From our first contact I will help your nervous system start to settle, providing a calming relationship in which you can find safety and support. I help women stop comparing themselves to others and learn how to connect to and use their own wisdom. You can begin to feel more confident in your decisions, trust yourself to know what you need and take action towards the things you want in your life.
I focus on getting to know your full being, including your felt body experience, so that we can get down into real, practical, effective experiences to support new ways of being in the world. By integrating kindness and compassion into our collaborative work, your unique self can be honored and guided to grow. I use mindful practices to understand your fears, support your strengths, and find new, satisfying options for growing a life you can love.
